Christopher Chwee is the founder and head acting coach at Act First Studios in New York City; where he is dedicated to training the next generation of bold, truthful and diverse performers.
Known for his clear, compassionate coaching and rigorous approach to craft, his students include Emmy and Tony Award nominated actors and Grammy winning musicians. They can also be seen on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard, Othello, Wicked, Real Women Have Curves, and The Lion King, as well as on screen in co-star to series regular roles across major networks and platforms including Netflix, Hulu, Disney Channel, Amazon Prime, and HBO.
A proud member of the National Alliance of Acting Teachers, Christopher was recently awarded a scholarship to attend their prestigious teacher training program at Juilliard, where he continued to deepen his commitment to actor training at the highest level. His teaching blends classical technique, contemporary on-camera precision, and a fierce belief in the power of personal truth.
Christopher has studied under Larry Moss, Roz Coleman and Margie Haber for over 12 years and is a graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School.
